چکیده

To evaluate the clinical feasibility of a newly developed mobile PET system with MR-compatibility (flexible PET; fxPET), compared conventional (cPET)/CT for brain imaging. Twenty-one patients underwent cPET/CT subsequent fxPET/MRI using 18F-FDG. As qualitative evaluation, we visually rated image quality MR and images four-point scoring system. Reproducibility of Quantitative Brain Imaging Using a PET-Only and a Combined PET/MR System

The purpose of this study was to test the feasibility of migrating a quantitative brain imaging protocol from a positron emission tomography (PET)-only system to an integrated PET/MR system. Potential differences in both absolute radiotracer concentration as well as in the derived kinetic parameters as a function of PET system choice have been investigated. Five healthy volunteers underwent dyn...

Design and performance evaluation of spheroid geometry for brain PET scanner using Monte Carlo modeling

Introduction: There has been a curiosity about the spheroid geometry for PET scanners developments since several years ago, therefore in this study, we are aiming to evaluate the performance of this geometry and compare its performance with cylindrical geometry using Monte Carlo simulation. Methods: We simulated a spheroid geometry with a radius of 199 mm...

Quantitative and Qualitative Assessment of Yttrium-90 PET/CT Imaging

Yttrium-90 is known to have a low positron emission decay of 32 ppm that may allow for personalized dosimetry of liver cancer therapy with (90)Y labeled microspheres. The aim of this work was to image and quantify (90)Y so that accurate predictions of the absorbed dose can be made. The measurements were performed within the QUEST study (University of Sydney, and Sirtex Medical, Australia). A NE...
